Violence Filter Confirmed For GOW 2

This picture has nothing to do with the post. I just have to remind you, from time to time, how hot Kim Kardashian is.

So I'm sitting here watching the Olympics and perusing the interwebs, because I have insomnia, and I find something that I expected and something that is interesting (due to the replaced content).

Gears of War 2 will contain a violence filter. Apparently, Epic Games put into effect the filter that was in the first game in the second game. In Gears 1, when you turned the filter off, the blood was replaced with nothing and the bodies just fell over and the cussing was deleted. Now in Gears 2, the blood will be replaced with sparks... and the cursing is still gone. So now when you chainsaw someone in the back you get sparks. Why not confetti? Or how about gummy bears? Hell, let's make Gears Of War for kids just like they made Counter Strike For Kids!

So what do I have to say about this?

Well, kids these days will figure out how to turn off the violence filter and be able to play with blood, guts, and Dom screaming 'SHIT YEAH!' through their speakers. So this really isn't going to do anything except for the parents who watch their kids play like a hawk and beat their kids when something goes wrong. Good thing I'm not a child anymore and I can buy my own M rated games.
