Lollapalooza Coverage: Rage Against The Machine Calms Crowd

"Save that shit for the streets!” declared Rage Against the Machine frontman Zack De La Rocha.

Lollapalooza has begun and what better way to make a statement is with Rage Against The Machine. They always bring it to the stage and to their performances and, from what I've read, that didn't change on day one. They brought it so hard that they had to stop the crowd from aggressive mosh pits on more than one occasion. Remember when mosh pits used to be people knocking each other and not teenagers karate kicking each other?

Ah, the glory days.

RATM frontman Zack De La Rocha, as always, had strong political comments to say. According to Rolling Stone, "he threatened that if Barack Obama won the White House but didn’t withdraw troops from Iraq, then he’d have a nation of angry, militant youths at his front door."

Strong words from such a politically aware group.

Keep it locked to two.shot for more Lollapalooza coverage as it becomes available.
